As we continue to realize the great need our communities have for dysphagia consultations, especially Modified Barium Swallow Studies conducted onsite at the patients' place of residence, we recognize the excellent business opportunity Speech-language Pathologist have to provide this service in their communities.

As experienced health executives at buidling national clinical organizations, we wanted to provide an infrastructure to assist our fellow SLP professionals to easily start-up mobile dysphagia services in their communities. Such an infrastruture can bring access to needed capital, reduce the cost of a start-up and reduce the time that our affiliates get to profitability.

Additionally, as clinical professionals, we also wanted to assure our affiliates were providing the highest quality of care, assessments and treatement plans to their community clients and patients. This infrastuture will also give affiliates access to relationships already developed with national healthcare clients.

Medicare and other payors are also important customers and assuring compliance with their regulations for providing services to their members is a key component to getting to profitability quickly and staying on top of the reimbursement issues specific to the services we provide.

We are in the beginning stages of developing the association, but please contact us if you are interesting in starting up a mobile dysphagia imaging service in your community. If you are a well estabilished moblie dysphagia imaging organization, we would like your participation to provide leadership and experience to other affiliates.

Our objective is to facilitate entreprenuerial efforts, continue the growth of mobile dysphagia imaging services throughout the US, standardize the quality-of-care, and collaborate on educating the public and the health care community on the prevelance of dysphagia in our population. This includes an understanding of the clinical importance of conducting Modified Barium Swallow Studies to appropriately assess patient's status and recommend customized treatment plans for each patient.
